Work in Progress
I have 2 paintings that I started approximately 2 weeks ago that are still sitting on my easel. Both are abstracted landscapes from a study that I have used before. In the first one, I have tried to maintain the negative shape of a tree, horizon line and moon (or sun don’t know which yet). For the second one I have laid a textured ground from which I am going to compose my painting. I have “drawn” into modeling medium on the canvas and will add paint color later. I was waiting for it to cure, but after 2 weeks time, I would imagine that it has “cured” long enough, don’t you think?
New Work in Progress.
Over at MSN spaces, I enjoyed sharing a work in progress that was different from the way that I normally work. I painted a rose by reducing a photograph that I had taken last summer into simple shapes by using Photoshop. I’m going to do another one, this time painting an orange sunflower.
