The house looks great! I painted all day yesterday outside and I really think that one more weekend ought to finish her off. On the plus side, we’re meeting a lot of neighbors.
I’m dropping my in-laws off at the airport and have 13 pendants and 2 pairs of earrings ready to be painted, collaged and otherwise embellished. I consider these about 1/3 of the way finished, I’ve cut, gessoed, drilled, sanded and added the first undercoat of paint.
The funny thing is that the original color is sometimes lost after I’m finished, but, it does serve to dictate the palette I eventually end up choosing.
Some of my friends and family were wondering if I do custom orders, and we mused and discussed over many margaritas. I decided to go for it. If someone tells me the word or phrase with which they identify and a general color scheme, then I will do custom work. The design is totally fluid, so that is one area that can’t really be customized. I’ve had 4 requests so far….
