Here is a new pendant hot from my studio! I’ll be posting this for sale on Etsy this morning.

This one has a funny story:

The gold leaf in the center is from a weed that grows like crazy in my yard…the “common mallow”. It is almost impossible to eradicate! I’ve tried just about everything including Round-up last year and I don’t normally use chemicals in my yard. NOTHING can stop this weed!

So, I dried a leaf from the plant and thought, hey, I’m going to make this into a pendant. If this little resiliant plant can grow places where it’s not wanted, it became inspiring to me. “Grow”. We should all keep growing!

I am still going to try to minimize its presence in my yard, but am thinking that this might be one of those lessons that I need to put in my library.
