Schools out for the summer!
I can’t seem to get that Alice Cooper song out of my head right now! My daughter’s school managed to drag out this last week because the kids really had no reason to be there. Clean up, parties, pinics etc. Actually it was all fun, but yay, we’re free for the next 3 months!
Several people have suggested that I teach some children’s ceramics classes. So, guess what? I’m going to experiment with my daughter and her friends. They’re going into 3rd grade, so I think now would be the perfect age to get their hands muddy!
Children are also so creative. They’re not bothered by what something SHOULD look like or what color something SHOULD be.
This bowl just came out of the kiln about a week and a half ago. It measures 8″ in diameter and 5″ high.

What fun! My daughter has been doing collages, jewelry, drawing, all of it! It’s great because they make pieces for fun, not function or if any one will buy or like it.
I thinks it’s great that you are doing this with your girls. You’ll have to post their new works of art!

This home school mom is singing the same song. Except, sigh, my oldest will be doing his math all summer long.
