Ceramic Pots at Botanical Garden
Originally uploaded by cmg art.

Okay, these are not my ceramic pots, but thought they were worthy of photographing. I was at the Denver Botanic Gardens about 1 month ago and took several photographs. It was early spring and not much was blooming and the water gardens were devoid of plants too. These pots are in a shallow pool. I’ll have to check back later in the season to see what will be growing in these pots.

If you ever have the chance to visit Denver, CO, I would highly recommend visiting the Botanical Gardens. It is divided into several zones and features a Japanese garden, children’s area, a Monet garden, tropical zone (which is in the largest humidified conservatory I have ever seen) and also has a great Rocky Mountain garden area to teach Colorado gardeners what grows in our semi-arid city.

Good job on this one, Cynthia! Those empty pots make for a powerful photo. I’ll be curious to see what grows in them!

I also love the celadon pot you posted a couple of days ago. I can almost feel it!

Do you mind if I link you on my blog?

  2. It would be an honor to be linked, thank you.

  3. When I look at this image, though my mind tells me it is a photograph, my eyes want to say it is a painting. I think it has to do with the contrast water & ice pot rims & their dark deep interiors. Even the lines in the ice bring to mind strokes of a paintbrush. Beautiful shot! It sounds like you had a wonderful time, too.
