I wasn’t going to post an entry today, but when I looked at my flickr photos, I remembered this one…a worm’s eye view of the Clock Tower which is on the 16th Street Mall in Denver, CO. Only the free shuttle bus and pedestrians are allowed on the 16th Street Mall, so consequently, it makes for a leisurely stroll and is good for people watching too!
My mom’s birthday is coming up and she has made it known that she wants my ceramic flower sculpture. This one is not available… I’m keeping it. After I finding it, however, I’ve decided to explore the technique and subject matter this summer.
Although, after spending this past week helping her let go of her belongings in preparation for the move, I’m not sure she needs more stuff! The whole experience makes minimalism look pretty good.

Your poor mom! I’ve desperately outgrown my little cottage and have been trying to get rid of some stuff, too. Unfortunately, I find I’m ‘emotionally attached’ to just about everything! I don’t want to get rid of stuff! I want a bigger house!

I like my stuff too, but know I need to de-clutter my house too. Maybe I can keep up the momentum in my own area. It really just illustrates to me that I don’t need a whole lot.
