The ongoing saga of my mother’s move took a humorous turn yesterday. It’s been fairly cool outside so we’ve been in the attic trying to clear it out before the heat returns or I go back home…which ever event comes first. We’ve found quite a few treasures, but nothing that my mom really wants to keep.
I even found a stash of my clothes from the early ’80’s! Very funny stuff, not to mention that I was at least 4-5 sizes smaller then. I really liked the movie “Flash Dance”, so I found lots of off the shoulder type stuff. I won’t embarrass my brother by revealing the items that belong to him that we found.
Anyway, we’re tired of dropping things off at the Goodwill, (I think they cringe when they see us coming) and my mom doesn’t want to have a yard sale, so, the next best thing is a FREE yard sale. We had so much fun! We put lots of stuff on the curb, put up free signs and watched discreetly as people took it all away! It’s a lot of fun and just goes to show you it just doesn’t take much to amuse us.
This bowl came out of the kiln about 3 weeks ago. I still have a couple of ceramic vases and pendants to pick up from the Art Student’s League when I return to Denver this Wednesday.
