Card #7,#8 and #9 of the 30 Day Painting Challenge
At 6AM this morning I put on my IPod Shuffle, plugged the ear buds into my head and went to the local park with my dog to exercise. When I got there…about a 10 minute walk, I thought to myself, “my it’s quiet today”. That’s when I realized that I didn’t actually turn on my IPod, I was merely wearing it…indicative of the type of day I’m having! Does your day ever start out weirdly, only to remain so?
I did manage to finish a still-life painting of some limes that were nearing their prime in my fruit bowl. Margaritas anyone? I also started another one, but am going to go outside after I post this and enjoy the day.
Cards #7 (abstract poppy)and #8 (foggy landscape) were completed yesterday, I finished Limes today. All of them were in response to the poll results…I think the only challenge left from the poll is to paint an animal. That would also be a good challenge for me; I’m not sure if I’ve ever painted one before. Thanks again to everyone who voted!
They are all available for auction on eBay.

oh, margaritas!! That would be perfect right about now.
These look really cool. I am oddly drawn to the foggy landscape. What medium did you say you were using?

Thank you Pinky and Rob! Pinky, I’m using Golden heavy body acrylic paints on 140 lb. paper that I gesso before hand. I have a fondness for landscapes too!
