ACEO #11 Wild Flowers
I broke the 30 day painting challenge. I didn’t paint on either Saturday or Sunday. I’ll blame it on the holiday weekend, plus my husband is home distracting me from painting. I finished this one this morning and it was done from my memories of seeing fields of wild flowers in bloom in the late spring and early summer. I also was trying to employ some techniques that I’ve learned in the last few paintings.
This is 2.5 x 3.5 inches, acrylic and graphite on 140# paper.
I hope to catch up on answering comments after the holiday! Even though I broke my 30 day paint challenge, I hope to make up for it in the next few days. I have 4 other paintings started! I hope everyone else had a good weekend!
Wild Flowers is available for auction. The starting price is $6.99.

Acceptable “reasons” of breaking the 30-day painting challenge.
Afterall, it’s good to have refreshing insights after the “break”. This is another nice piece of work. It seems that you are fond of using red….

You’re absolutely right! Red is one of my favorite colors. I do tend to gravitate towards the same palette. However, at the request of my mother, I am painting or trying to paint a good likeness of a star gazer lily…pinks and white. Although if you look carefully at the flower, the stamens are a very warm orange.

Another nice painting. I am envious. I would like to get into painting, but have no clue where to start. I’m not sure I’d have the patience for it either. Anyways, Happy 4th and well done.

Wow Cyn! I was really surprised when I saw this was ACEO sized because you captured such a big beautiful landscape in this little size! I love the way you did the sky and clouds and trees and all those lovely red flowers! This is really a fine little piece!
