The 3 Habaneros: ACEO Painting #13

Ahhh back to my routine. The long 4th of July weekend has come and gone. We had a busy weekend full of barbecues and landscaping with a nap or 2 thrown in for good measure. We had plans on going to our favorite spot in Denver to view the fireworks, however, “the best laid plans of man gang aft aglee”. Instead, natures fireworks entertained us and most fire work displays were cancelled or delayed because of severe thunderstorms.

I purchased these habanero peppers a few days ago from the market with the intent of painting them. I went to the market with an open mind, and was immediately rewarded with the sight of these bright orange peppers. I also happen to make a killer salsa, where these will end later today! If you’ve never tried habaneros before, I highly recommend it. These are not for the faint of heart. They’re super spicy and impart a smokey flavor!

The 3 Habaneros is available to purchase by auction. The starting bid is $6.99.

Are you going to do a before and after set? you know paint the chips and salsa :) I like looking at your painting and thinking of what happens to them afterwards. I have never tried them, but spicy and smokey, now that sounds very good.
