My Blog on Hold
Hello everyone -
This is a short note to say that I am alive and well but am busier than expected after returning to school in August to finish a masters in landscape architecture. Needless to say, all clay activities are but a memory while I tend to school, being a mom and supportive partner to my husband. Something had to give, and it looks like it is clay.
With that in mind, I have to decide what it is that this blog will become – if anything at all. I don’t have anything to say about clay right now and my blog has lost steam….
But, at this point, I have resigned myself to the possibility of returning to the clay studio during winter and summer breaks while I am in school. I am definitely look forward to the stress relief that I find when working with clay. I did participate in the Colorado Potters Guild Fall Sale last weekend and we had a terrific turn out which was hopeful. But, school is intense, and the good news is that I’m learning tons and know this is where I belong.
Meanwhile, these two pages out of my sketchbook illustrate part of my site analysis for a “Plants in Design” class I’m taking. Our final project is using this space to inspire a new concept planting plan – it’s an interesting space that is dominated by this 60′ tall pair of dancing alien like figures.
Our remodel progress on the home is nearly complete – we’re still waiting on new storm doors and windows to be installed just in time for winter. Cosmetic redecorating is also on hold till I begin winter break – Dec. 11 – woohoo! Heck, right now, I don’t even have time to get a haircut which I so desperately need – so I can’t even entertain the idea of painting a room or sewing some slip covers for the furniture.
Hope everyone is happy and healthy,
~Cynthia

I’m glad you are enjoying your course so much!
Don’t worry about the blog, but it would be nice if you could just leave a little update whenever you can – it’s good to know how things are going for you.
I really hope you get some clay time over the holidays

It seems you have found where you should be right now and I certainly believe in trusting your heart or muse.
All the best on this exciting journey.
