My name is Cynthia Guajardo and I am primarily a ceramic artist, although I have have been known to experiment with different media from time to time. I use either porcelain or stoneware clay bodies to create functional pottery, sculpture and ceramic jewelry.
After a 17 year career with a major airline, I returned to school and began my exploration of clay under the tutelage of Ray Chen at the University of Southern Maine in 2002, and continued my ceramic studies with Mary Cay, an instructor at the Art Student’s League of Denver where I have been a member since 2004.
Additionally, I have been teaching children’s clay classes after school in Denver and at select art centers in Colorado.
