Masks

Masks were constructed using slabs of low fire white earthenware clay, acrylic paint and sealed with acrylic gloss medium. From my after school clay class, grades 2-5.

Anderson Ranch Arts Center, July 2008

This summer I taught a week long children's art camp at Anderson Ranch Arts Center in Snowmass Village, CO to 15 students ages 9 - 12. The class was called "Movable Ceramic Sculpture" and was a mixed media project involving clay, painting, sewing fabric, stuffing, constructing a core body with wood, wire and glue and finally assembling and finishing the sculptures. The class met for 5 days, 3 hours a day.

Ocarinas and Whistles

These ocarinas were made in a kid's camp I taught this summer at the Art Student's League of Denver, the kids were in 1st and 2nd grade.

    Your work is inspirational and so is your website. I hope to have much more time to produce with the closing of my in town studio and having more time to
    do some creating. Just getting started on my website. I have been an artist in residence in Oregon and am still doing working in that area but have been playing around with Raku and some porcelain. Thanks for the inspiration. I really like the idea of doing the lino cutting and making a platter idea. Awesome!!!
